Section 1 – Basics / General Play

  • Stroke Play vs Match Play: Lowest score wins the hole. Penalties add strokes.
  • Ball In Play: A stroke with intent counts. Accidental contact usually does not.
  • Wrong Ball: Stop, correct, +2 strokes.
  • Lost Ball: 3-minute search. Stroke & distance.

Section 2 – Teeing Area

  • Tee within markers, up to two club-lengths back.
  • Ball falling off tee: No penalty.
  • Whiff counts as a stroke.
  • Provisional must be declared.

Section 3 – Fairway & General Area

  • Play it as it lies.
  • Loose impediments may be removed.
  • Embedded ball relief allowed.
  • Free relief from cart paths.

Section 4 – Bunkers

  • No grounding club before stroke.
  • Loose impediments may be removed carefully.
  • Unplayable ball options apply.

Section 5 – Penalty Areas

  • Red and Yellow penalty area options.
  • Relief incurs +1 stroke.

Section 6 – Out of Bounds

  • Stroke & distance applies.
  • Local rule may allow +2 stroke drop.

Section 7 – Putting Green

  • Mark and lift allowed.
  • Repair ball marks and spike marks.
  • Flagstick may remain.

Section 8 – Relief / Interference

  • Accidental movement usually no penalty.
  • Free relief from abnormal conditions.
